Hill View is part of the easy-to-live in town of Portsmouth, Ohio. The Portsmouth Murals are a popular attraction for visitors and residents alike. Located on the floodwall, the 52 paintings in this outdoor art gallery depict scenes from the river valley's past. Featured are views of Portsmouth's history, the town's early Indian settlement, the growth of industry and famous residents, such as Roy Rogers and Branch Rickey. A dedication ceremony was held in October 2002 to celebrate the completion. The Portsmouth Murals are best viewed along Front Street, within walking distance of many shops and dining in the historic Boneyfiddle District.
